Pension „Tašner“ is located in a quiet neighbourhood of the town of Litomyšl, only a few minutes’ walk from the historical centre. We offer accommodation in four equipped double or twin rooms, all with the option of adding an extra bed or a crib. Our guests can make use of a fully furnished kitchen, free parking in front of the pension as well as an outdoor terrace with a fireplace.

Accommodation
At pension Tašner, we offer accommodation in four double or twin rooms, all with the option of adding an extra bed or a crib. Every room is equipped with a bathroom with either a bath or a shower, toilette, satellite TV and Wi-Fi. All our rooms as well as the indoor area is non-smoking (smoking possible at the outdoor terrace). Our guests can make use of a fully furnished kitchen, conservatory, or an outdoor terrace with a fireplace.
If you are coming with children, let us know in advance and we will be happy to provide a crib, potty or toilette seat, highchair, and toys.
Parking in front of the premises is for free.
Pets are only allowed upon request with an additional fee.
The accommodation is available from 3pm. There is no reception at the pension, which is why we kindly ask all our guests to let us know their arrival time in advance either via phone +420 608 267 856 or email info@penzionlitomysl.cz. Check-out is until 10am. Later check-out possible upon request with an additional fee.

Litomyšl and its surroundings
The town Litomyšl is located in the eastern part of the Pardubice Region and offers several fascinating places. The dominant of the town is the renaissance castle with original sgraffiti. The castle complex was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Part of the complex is also the former castle brewery, in which the world-famous composer Bedřich Smetana was born in 1824. During the high season between April and October, it is possible to visit his family’s apartment where he was born. Every year, the castle also hosts the renowned international opera festival Smetanova Litomyšl since 1949.The area around the castle is a place where history meets the present. At the top of the hill, you can find the regional museum as well as The Church of The Finding of The Holy Cross that is the dominant of the monastery gardens. This town park is perfect not only for relaxation, but also for visiting of many cultural events that are happening here regularly. The Smetana Square, which is almost 500 hundred meters long and thus one of the longest in the Central Europe, is considered the heart of the town. Thanks to its characteristic arcades, visitors can walk through the entire square without getting wet even when it rains. The town hall tower, Marian column, statue of the native Bedřich Smetana, as well as one of the oldest houses of the town “Dům U Rytířů”, the home of The Town Gallery Litomyšl – these are all places you should pay a visit whilst walking through the square. We also recommend visiting “Portmoneum”, the museum of the painter Josef Váchal, which is located in close proximity to our pension.
The sports enthusiasts won’t be disappointed either. Litomyšl offers sport activities such as football-golf, adventure golf, sauna, an indoor go-kart track, and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. In the tennis centre “SPORT”, you can play tennis, squash, badminton or even bowling. There is also a playground for an outdoor workout within the town stadium. If you are a passionate horse rider, visit the riding arena in Suchá, a village right next to Litomyšl.If you feel like exploring the surroundings of Litomyšl, do not miss the “Toulovcovy Maštale” (The Stables of the Knight Toulovec). This protected, rocky natural landscape lies 15 km away from Litomyšl. Don’t forget to stop in the village “Nové Hrady“ on the way. You will be enchanted by the beautiful castle complex which is often called the “Czech Versailles”. We also recommend the memorial place “Růžový palouček”, which is covered by gallic roses and surrounded by a park. In this park, you can also find the memorial of the Czech Brothers.
Another place worth visiting is the village Kozlov which is connected to the painter Max Švabinský. A tiny log cabin at the very end of the village is hiding his painting “Svatý Václav přijímá dary” (“Saint Wenceslas Receiving Gifts”). Thanks to its close proximity – only 9 km away from
Litomyšl – the village Kozlov is also a popular cycling destination. The cottage of Max Švabinský on the top of the Kozlov Hill serves as a restaurant where you can refresh yourself after the bike ride.
